Shutsumon:

You might find two of Jon Downes' other books of interest: "Weird Devon" and "UFOs Over Devon," both of which cover strange, paranormal stories from throughout Devon.

Yeah Devon does seem to be a UFO hotspots. When I was 17 (1989) I went to Germany to clean war graves while my mother and grandmother (both sadly now deceased) went on holiday to a small-holding in North Devon and when I got back they told me they'd seen UFOs virtually every night they were there. Gran descibed them as "silver balls" flying in formation.

I remember being gutted I hadn't been there to see it. Though I've seen more than my fair share of the things as well over the years.

I swear my family must attract them.

Boy, I remember jumping out of my seat with <i>American Werewolf</i>'s first gory death the first time I saw it :-), specially because of the eery misty atmosphere in the pitch-black night.

The good ol' days when you didn't over-expose your monsters...
