Car Trouble
Here’s an interesting article on a new technology designed to disable cars. It kind of reminds me of so-called “vehicle interference” cases that were a regular facet of the UFO puzzle years ago.
Interestingly enough, the British Royal Air Force’s Provost and Security Services investigated a number of such cases in the 1960s, including that of a man named Ronald Wildman.
A now-declassified RAF Police report of 1962, written by a Sergeant C.J. Perry, outlines the facts:
“At Aylesbury on 16th February 1962, at 1530 hrs., I visited the Civil Police and requested information on an alleged ‘Flying Saucer’ incident. I was afforded every facility by the Civil Police authorities and although no official report had been made, details of the incident were recorded in the Station Occurrence book.
“The details are as follows: Mr. Wildman of Luton, a car collection driver, was travelling along the Aston Clinton road at about 0330 hrs. on 9th February 1962 when he came upon an object like a hovercraft flying approximately 30 feet above the road surface. As he approached he was travelling at 40 mph but an unknown force slowed him down to 20 mph over a distance of 400 yrd. [Note From Nick: Italics Mine For Emphasis], then the object suddenly flew off.
“He described the object as being about 40 feet wide, oval in shape with a number of small portholes around the bottom edge. It emitted a fluorescent glow but was otherwise not illuminated.
“Mr. Wildman reported the incident to a police patrol who notified the Duty Sergeant, Sergeant Schofield. A radio patrol car was dispatched to the area but no further trace of the ‘Flying Saucer’ was seen. It was the opinion of the local police that the report by Mr. Wildman was perfectly genuine and the experience was not a figment of imagination. They saw that he was obviously shaken.
“I spoke to Sergeant Schofield and one of the Constables to whom the incident was reported. Both were convinced that Mr. Wildman was genuinely upset by his experience.”
There ends the Royal Air Force report. As I said, “vehicle interference” cases used to be a staple part of Ufology; however, if the use of the new technology cited in the link at the top of this blog-post becomes widespread, we could see a return of such cases.
This time, however, it will not be little gray blokes with black eyes and large heads who will be doing the interference. No: it will be burly characters dressed in police and military uniforms.
As I have said before - and this just confirms matters even further - as time progresses, the line between “our” technology and “theirs”, as well as our ability to differentiate between a genuine UFO-induced experience and one that is the work of advanced human technology will become more and more blurred.

The system, which can be attached to an automobile or aircraft carrier, sends out pulses of microwave radiation to disable the microprocessors that control the central engine functions in a car
This method relies too much on the electronics systems of newer car models.
Surely, the method by which Mr. Wildman’s automobile was slowed down would be completely different… and much more sophisticated.
PS: Wouldn’t it be CHEAPER to blow the tires of the bandits’ vehicle the ol’fashioned way: with a bullet?
Or should we begin toworry that they are planning to put these kind of weapons on some stealth satellite?

RPJ:
Yeah, there’s no doubt that a different technology is at work re “our” vehicle interference and “theirs.”
However, I think (and predict) that as our technology continues to develop with more and more technology like this, and more bizarre looking and sophisticated unmanned aerial vehicles etc are built and flown, it will become increasingly difficult to know if we are seeing our technology or theirs - even if that technology is somewhat different to each other’s.
Yeah, bullets always seem to be pretty effective! LOL
