I must confess that I suspected this time angle also some years back after a review of UFO data available publicly. It's intriguing, definitely.

Consider the information in Joseph Farrell's work on The Bell in 'Reich of the Black Sun' and
'The SS Brotherhood of the Bell', and the time angle might have new life breathed into it. There is other evidence, of course, but starting there is very good.

The part that usually bothers me with ufology, et al, is when they start invoking the 'they are here to advance our souls' crap.

PLEASE! Are we exploring the ocean bottom to advance the souls of shrimp that live in the depths of the Pacific???

Ok, I just post a message but it's going to take a while since it's got two URL links. Graylien you're right, the actual name of the movie is "Official Denial". More details in the message I wrote earlier.

Mmmm, you're right Graylien, I messed up! Please forgive me Richelle :-(

I think I got it right now: the name of that movie is "Official Denial" from 1994.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110715/

Yeah, i think I'm right now, because in that movie the Stevenson dude cuts his hair, so he can empathize with the bald "alien".

Richelle, you'rein luck, a VHS is available on Amazon!

Hope this ammends my wrongdoing :-)

I remember that movie. It was a bit rubbish, though I suppose you could have used the plot to make quite a decent film.

I don't think it was called "Not of this Earth", though. That was the title of a 1950's Roger Corman alien invasion movie (which I haven't seen) that was remade in the 80's with cult 'actress' Traci Lords in one of the lead roles. (I have seen that version - it's awful.)

The film you've linked to seems like yet another remake of that film - not the time travelling alien TV movie.

Anyhow, getting back to the time travelling aliens - it's the 15% figure that's bothering me. How can Dr Goldberg be so specific And what about the other 85%?

Wow, thanks. I'm writing an article and trying to collect as many grays/ufo mythology oriented movies and specials from the 90s as I can, and I don't recall this one at all. Doesn't look like it's available on DVD--now or ever.

Woohoo, this old CPU I have for a brain can work from time to time! and with the aid of the Internet, even the most obscure memories can resurface :-)

The name of the movie is <b>"Not of this Earth"</b>, and the lead role was played by Parker Stevenson. The only reason I could remember the guy's name was because my big sister was a really big fan of "The Hardy Boyz"!! :-)

Well, I remember it dealt with a guy who was a repeated abductee, his wife didn't believe him and they were about to get a divorce, but in the end the USAF ask HIS help to try and communicate with a gray alien they just managed to capture. He finally does and the alien communicates to him telepathhically, and they become friends eventhough the little rascal former job was to abduct the guy and probe him on the cahoot!

They become such good friends that the guy manages to help the alien escape the government's secret base where they keep him (the movie is kind of an <i>ET</i> for grownups I figure). During the trip the guy shows the alien to his wife, which is a good ting because that convinces her that he's been telling the truth all these years. So she forgives him for all the loony behavior she endured ;-)

Well, in the end the alien gives the guy a mental image of his world. A shitty planet barren of life, that got so polluted the aliens had no choice but to begin to mess up with their DNA and mutate themselves in order to adapt. So that's the reason they abduct people ("What was lost must be recovered" the alien tells the guy). Sadly, the alien dies, althouth its spirit joins the spirit of its companions that died in the crash, and other things happen, but in the very end the guy talks to a USAF general who, oddly enough, is not such a bad person after all, and the guy reveals the ultimate truth: the aliens are ourselves from the far future, trying to recover what DNA strands they lost as "our" species got older and genetically more stagnant. So they convene that the truth must not be revealed because it would be such a bummer if people found out our great, great, great, great, great, great grand children are going to become hideous gray-skinned midgets with large almond-shaped eyes. I mean, who could blame them??

Hope this helps :-)

Yet another reason NOT to have children ;-)

I remember they even made a TV-movie about that theory in the 90s

Thankfully, Dr. Goldberg isn't claiming it's our real grandchildren, but our gret-great-great-great... well, you get the idea. He suggests a time range of 1,000 to 3,000 years into our future.

But one can get an idea where he's coming from by the title of his magnum opus: "Egypt: An Extraterrestrial and Time Traveler Experiment."

While I pride myself on keeping an open mind on every topic, it's not so open that you could fly a Cessna through it. (:^D)
