I have trouble with this man's story too. But I really enjoyed the interview. And the 2nd part was very powerful, with a lot of emotional charge, it's obvious this man deeply believes what he's telling. Whether that's true or not, well...

I realize this is terribly speculative from me, but I often wonder if all these insiders are not actually "programmed" by the establishment to became whistle-blowers and spread misinfomation. Like in the novel "1984", where Winston Smith was picked since childhood and slowly programmed throughout his entire life to became the "rebel" the State needed to mantain the fallacy of Goldstein's threat. What if within the government they would analyse the best candidates based on their psychological background (liberalists, ideallists, with knowledge in history and humanities, etc) to be exposed with forgeries that would permit to create the myth that the government knows all about UFOs?

Crazy? Yes, most probably. But as Bob Dean said so himself on this interview (which he claims I probably his last) he wonders if the reason he's been permitted to go on telling his story and blowing the whistle, it's partly because someone on the inside wants him too. Well, maybe someone does, but maybe that someone may not have such honorable intentions as Dean hopes him to.

Also worthy of note, was his mentioning at the interview that after he moved out to Tucson, he discovered Philip Corso (another whistle-blower) lived very close to him. He didn't belive it to be a coincidence, ad I don't either, but the reason of this sinchronicity still eludes me. Hell, could be a way to keep both "disinfo experiments" together to make their tracking easier, and keep them on a mutual feedback loop.

Well who knows. Maybe this demonical disinfo long-range experiment I'm thinking of would actually be more incredible and far-fetched than a real NATO study filled with evidence of alien visitation.

But the man does sound sincere, he's a passionate gentleman and I share with him that "love-hate relationship with mankind". And apparently he's having trouble with arthritis, which is a real bitch of a disease (my mom suffers it too), so I sincerely wish him to recover from his illness.

Anyone with a security clearnace knows that you only have access to a tiny fraction of the documents you're cleared for. That, and with the overwrought titling of the putative document ("The Assessment," cue dramatic music), and with no corroborating evidence forthcoming, I'm not buying it.

I saw and talked to Bob many times. He didn't seem to mind that I thought his revelations were on a par with Phil Corso, etc--no way to prove anything they were saying.

As Nick Pope says: "Interesting if true."

I used to help out with Bob's website back in 1996-1997. He always seemed like a nice guy and I never really got the feeling that he was anything but sincere.

But... who knows.
