“Failure to prepare may mean humankind will have to dig in and fight with improvised weapons and hit-and-run tactics, much the same way Islamic extremists have battled the US military in Iraq, Taylor believes.
“You’d have to create an insurgency, a mujahideen-type resistance,” Taylor said. - Reuters”
This is interesting because they are comparing an hypothetical mankind resistance against an alien threat with the tactics followed by islamists like Al Qaeda an the Taliban.
Osama bin Laden remains missing because likely he keeps hiding in the vast cave system that exists along the Pashtun region of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
So, the interesting thing here is that we have all these myths (both ancient and modern) about civilizations that went underground because there was a huge “war in the sky” between the gods, be this a methaforical account of climatic disorder, or the very literal description of battles between non-human factions, like what you might read in the vedic literature of the Mahabaratta (if you let your imagination free a little).
Although I think that for a truly powerful extraterrestrial civilization, if they simply wanted us to wipe us out, sending huge asteroids toward Earth’s orbit would be more than enough. No need to get your hands dirty, spend galactic credits in a huge robot army or anything
Or how about some kind of electro-magnetic pulse that would make all our machines to stop functioning?
or even our own HEARTS to stop beating?
or a really nasty virus that would only have an apetite for human flesh, leaving the rest of Earth’s flora and fauna intact?
Or messing with our sun, to increase or decrease the ammount of energy it releases that would create a climatic… HEY!!
I’ve always thought that if hostile aliens did ever decide to wipe us out or take us over, that the least likely way it would be done would be in some typical Hollywood “Independence Day” scenario.
It would be a suitably alien end for us via a means and method that has probably never even occurred to us.
Yeah, an asteroid would do it. Launched(or pushed) from a great distance would do the job. But any extraterrestial civilization that could generate the energy required form extrasolar travel wouldn’t need another planet. Plus gravity differences and biological differences might make earth an unsuitable location for settlement. And the supply train required for transportation & settlement of large numbers would make it unworkable. I’ve got the book & it’s a lot of fun, I’d definitely recommend it.
Don’t want come across as a killjoy,but
why is it that anyone that decides to
take a shot at coalition forces is
labeled an Islamic extremist.Would we
in the west take the same kind of shit?
No! we’d take up arms & call ourselves
freedom fighters.Apologies for getting
off the main topic.
Kenn,
I wasn’t talking about al Qaeda. I
was talking abut the everyday Iraqi who
has had innocent loved ones killed by
western forces for example,of course
there’s going to be animosity.I know
where your coming from though, all I meant to say was,it’s too convenient to label all these people al Qaeda or terrorists.
Nick,
Just a quick question in relation
to the article above provided by kenn, referring to the meteorite that landed
in peru causing illness. If Im not
mistaken did i read or hear somewhere
that you were researching or looking
into this kind of scenario ie Viruses
coming from space etc.
Yes, I gave a lecture at last year’s UFO Crash-Retrieval conference in Vegas on claims that the official world had alleged knowledge of hostile viruses that were alien-originated.
Hey Kenn,
I’ll make this my last post on the subject before I bore everyone to death. Totally agree with your comment above. All I should of said in the first place was,In my opinion al Qaeda
get way too much credit when you consider the amount of different groups
operating over there with different agendas, including people who are just pissed off with the situation. In hindsight it was silly of me to make a big deal out of such a minor point, which had nothing to do with main thrust of the article anyway. In future when I post on here I’ll stick to the subject at hand. I will put my first post down to a bad day at work.

Kristian Agus needs to get an education about al Qaeda. Freedom fighters they ain’t.
But mranderson’s idea isn’t so far fetched. Check:

All the more reason to read the Stargate Conspiracy by Picknett and Prince. Philip Coppens website has a lot of his background research for that book.

Kristin,
The everyday Iraqi is just as likely to have had inncoent love ones killed by al Qaeda as by western forces.
As for what’s happening in Peru: it’s already being called “mass hysteria” by the press. See:
