Comedian Joe Rogan on UFOs
I’ve been watching Rogan for a few years now, but NOT on Fear Factor. Although I think he’s kind of a meathead on social issues (at least in his act), he is an intelligent and very funny stand-up comedian. He doesn’t have all the compassion of a Lenny Bruce or a Bill Hicks, but he’s someone who can make me laugh in spite of my occasional disagreements with his outlook, and that’s a gift.
We went to see Rogan about 5 years ago at a club in L.A. and I had a chance to talk to him for around half an hour about UFOs and other weirdness. We spoke about Richard Hoagland’s Mars material and the JFK assassination, among other topics. After our conversation, I wouldn’t wonder why he counts conspiracy researcher Alex Jones among his friends. I gave him a copy of Wake Up Down There! Perhaps he’s been studying up.
Rogan was on a morning radio show here recently and the hosts kept trying to get him to discuss his involvement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship people, but all he wanted to talk about was how the U.S. never landed on the moon, which is a comedy routine in itself.
Here’s his standup routine on UFOs (parental advisory!) Apparently, Jones is in the audience for this one.
