British Police Encounter
Here’s an extract from a new story concerning a UFO encounter involving the British Police Force, details of which have surfaced under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act:
It was likely to be a night like any other for the crew of a Met police helicopter on patrol over Bromley borough..
But suddenly they found themselves in the middle of something resembling a science fiction film. All around them were flashing and pulsating red lights that made whirring noises.
Their report was filed among hundreds of others in a secret government storage facility. Now, less than four years on, their story can be finally brought to light thanks to a freedom of information request.
However Met police were reluctant to elaborate any further on what was released by the Ministry of Defence.
And here’s another, newly-surfaced British-based story, again detailing official files on Police-UFO encounters:
Conspiracy theorists jammed the message board of the Evening Post website after we revealed the Ministry of Defence has recorded ten UFO sightings in Notts since 1999.However, the story is perhaps even more sinister than the Post’s suspicious online correspondents were aware.Details of these ‘encounters of the third kind’ were released under the Freedom of Information Act.
They included bright and coloured lights, often in odd geometric formations.
Interestingly, one of the objects was reported to be travelling at the “speed of an arrow” [about 190mph].
An incident on April 15, 2002 at 3.30am, in Nottingham, is recorded as “three silver triangular objects in a triangle formation. Closely followed by the police helicopter”.
One might expect the police to have some record of this incident, since the Helicopter Support Unit logs every call out. But strangely, the records for 2002 are not available.
According to staff at the unit, the computer programme, which stored the information, was developed by a member of staff, who unfortunately suffered a stroke.
Apparently as a result of his illness, the man could not remember the password.
“All our records for that particular year are on a programme we no longer have access to,” said a spokesman, who perhaps unsurprisingly in the circumstances, did not want to be named.

Off topic question:
I just read Colin Bennett’s essay you recommended. I’m not sure I got what he said. Did he say,”there is some secret group submitting UFO stories to test & see what works & who goes for this”? If this is so, where does evidence fit in his argument. Did he present some evidence for this as a possibility?

Who is releasing the SERPO, CARET, CHAD Drone evidence? Could be different peple with absolutely no connection to each other. Think about a guy that starts a little graphiti in the door of a public rest room, then comes another who adds a little of his own doing, and then another, and another. They are total strangers to each other, but feel compelled to “go along with the game”. Suddenly the end result seems like nothing the original perpetrator thought in the first place. The graphiti literally took a life of its own.
Same thing could be happening here. Somethin like that certainly seems to be happening with some crop circles in England.
But Bennet proposes that the effort to circulate these stories in the web seems too correlated and well orchestated, as if there was some sort of group who’s been making a deliverate attempt to make people believe in these stories (whether they may eve have some speck of truth in them or not). It is an interesting hypothesis that deserves to be studied further.
I really suggest you investigate on a more older example of this: The UMMO case. You can find some information in Wikipedia. It is my opinion that UMMO was perhaps the grand daddy of all these cases when strange statements were sent to UFO enthusiasts to see how they could spread and take a life of their own, even if the original perpetrators stopped the experiment.

I was worried about the evidence question, let me leave that out.
1)So, what Bennett is saying that the group of people(the ones who are sequentially adding different elements to the grafitti) stitching the specific UFO meme are compelled by some unknown element(either ultra-terrestial, extraterrestial, or rogue intelligence agents).
So there 2 distinguishable elements here:
-the actors stitching the story elements together
-the as yet unindentifiable, or unknown, director behind the scenes

Yeah, I think so. I think what Bennet sees in all these stories is the danger of the potential use of them as tools of control over some groups of persons. In these case, the CARET story would be targeted to people like you and me who are fond of reading UFO websites. So Bennet thinks these stories have just the right amount of deniability to keep us “hooked”. According to the so-called “Isaac”, he never saw a UFO or an alien, he just was told by his employers that the technology he was working with was reverse-engineered from extraterrestrial crashes (something that by now IS a well established Meme in the minds of a lot of people).

Here’s another question:
If there is some rogue intelligence group putting this stuff out(or rogue-prankster types), then why?
1)the joy of a prank?
2)targeting a subgroup like us(those fond of reading UFO stuff)? I initially thought these kinds of operations were possible when I read Jacques Valle’s books. Then I thought, but this subgroup(i.e.those interested enough in UFO’s to buy books & think about UFO’s) is so small & politically insignificant that just didn’t seem to be a worthwhile pursuit by an intelligence-govt outfit
3) if 2) is true, then if it is an intelligence outfit, then the motivation is to keep UFO enthusiasts from prying into black operations or military development activities

Why not? 99.9% of all the videos posted on Youtube are comedy-related and done by amateurs. Or maybe it was something posted initially by someone who was curious to see if another person would take it further.

Maybe… maybe not. The thing about applying a lever is to know where EXACTLY to put it to get the greatest amount of result with the least amount of effort.
Yes, we are a small bunch of weirdos those of us who enjoy spending our nights reading about these fantastic tall tales of conspiracies and cosmic watergates; but a strength or influence of a group may come not only from big numbers. Think for example on the members of Heaven’s Gate, these were all well-educated individuals that came from a middle-class enviroment, some of them were computer programmers for example, and yet they were willing to commit suicide because some maniac convinced them an alien ship that was tail-gating the Hale-Bopp comet was coming to pick them up. Think of the people that are part of the Raelians; heck think of the power the scientologists have despite the fact they are not such a wide-spread religion!

Read about Paul Bennewitz for example; now Greg (Bishop)wrote a book I’m definitely going to purchase through Amazon, but you can find some info on Wikipedia. This was a very intelligent man that seemed to have been manipulated by the US government using his interest on UFOs.
You know what? My honest-to-God thoughts are that, the more I read about the UFO phenomenon, the less I seem to understand. I have no idea what’s going on. I have no evidences, only the slightest hints I seem to recognize from here and there.Maybe there’s a danger in knowing too much. That’s why I advise to take everything about all this with a very big grain of salt.
In the mean time let’s keep searching to see where the rabbit hole takes us.
