Uth:

Yeah Skinwalker is an interesting book. There are some weird UK animal mutes too - which are tied in with satanic groups, rites and rituals. Particularly in the UK county of Devon the UK police have a number of such reports on file of mutes and rites having been committed in the vicinity of old stone circles.

Nick, et. al.,

I followed the link. It seems the Dulce thing is "back" because some writer at a British pop culture site decided to write about it, using the link that appears at the top of most search engines. This writer seems to have gone there and followed the links to the Schneider video.

Weird thing about Schneider: he seems to have contracted some strange fast-acting cancer or have been poisoned - I don't rememeber which - and his wife was asking New Mexico law enforcement to investigate his death. I don't think she was successful.

Yes, I presently think that the cattle mutes were mainly the result of some pathogen getting out into the domestic and wild animal populations in the mid-to-late 1970s. The reason that the authorities just don't buy cattle at auctions or whatever is that the disease may affect certain bloodlines more than others. It also affords whoever is doing this "work" a chance to practice covert operations and those who direct them to look at the spread of rumor and conspiracy theories (which were probably started by them.)

To some, this sounds even weirder than the "aliens are doing it" theory, but I have never seen any conclusive proof of aliens. There is plenty of evidence that humans are doing at least some of of the mutilations-just ask Chris O'Brien.

Nick-

Don't forget Colm Kelleher’s other book, 'Hunt for the Skinwalker', with its tales of truly strange cattle mutilations. If these events really happened as depicted, it's tough to imagine them being the work of covert agencies alone. It doesn't really sound like aliens either, something weirder.

Hi Nick,

I've never been able to figure out though, if the government wanted to test for emerging viruses etc - why not just go shopping at the local sales yards?

Kind regards,
Greg

Red Pill:

Re cows, mutes etc: you might want to read Colm Kelleher's book "Brain Trust" which addresses mutes and suggests a link with covert testing in connection with diseases that may spill over into the human population.

Personally, I think the small number of genuine mutes were/are for purposes related to concerns of emerging viruses, disease, etc and the UFO angle may have been subtly promoted at an official level to get people away from the truth.

Forgetting about wild aliens speculations for a minute, the cattle mutilations is just one case in the list of the incresing in weirdness with our relationship with bovines.

First there was the cattle mutilations of the 70s.

Then there was the "Mad Cow" hysteria of the late 80s and early 90s.

Now in the early XXIst century,I believe we are witnessing the beginning of a new type of hysteria: the conception of cows as greater threats to the enviroment than coal mines and SUV's, because of the great amounts of methane these animals expell throught their mouths (motly) and anuses while digesting food.

So, why cows over and over again???

Yeah, a lot of the Dulce stories are indeed over the top, and like something from an old sci fi film. But what's interesting is one of the central themes of Greg's book - namely that for intriguing intelligence-based reasons the Government helped perpetuate the tales of Dulce.

I don't really know much about the whole Dulce thing... it frankly seemed a tad rediculous and I have remained uninterested in the matter.

Has anyone actually seen this base? Is there a secure area like the perimeter around Area 51? I haven't seen anyone mention anything like that.
