Blended wing designs are one step beyond simple flying wings, which were notoriously unstable. The F-117 (Stealth Fighter) must be flown with computers assisting the pilot becuase of this. Pretty art, but nothing I've read in the last thirty-odd years suggests that the saucer is a viable shape for atmospheric transport.
