The UFO Hunter
James Clarkson never has seen an unidentified flying object.
But the retired detective puts his police skills to work investigating a couple of reports every month from people who think they’ve spotted one.
Clarkson - a 55-year-old who lives north of Olympia - said the majority of reports of UFO sightings come from ordinary, honest people who believe they’ve seen something extraordinary. A flash of light in an otherwise dark sky. An aircraft flying faster than anything made by human hands.
Often, they have little more than their own eyes to back up their accounts. And most have seen objects - such as stars or military aircraft - that Clarkson later is able to identify through online research. Although the work can be frustrating, he said it’s never less than fascinating.
Here’s the rest of it.
