Underground Bases (Pt. 2)

Map of supposed underground base at Dulce
One of the comments on the first entry asked why this underground base stuff was so important. If you’re one of those people who are interested in mysteries and secrets, that’s reason enough. Moving into deeper and darker territory, it is a fact that underground facilities are great places to hide things from your enemies and your friends.
Cheyenne Mountain (underneath which NORAD and the Air Force has maintained facilities since 1966) is something we all know about because its main objective is the passive air defense of the United States. Facilities where research and development of defensive (and possibly offensive) weapons take place are understandably more secret.
In the early 1980s, for example, research into “star wars”-type defense was reportedly taking place somewhere underneath the Nevada Test Site. The tests required a small nuclear detonation to begin a chain reaction and fire multiple X-ray-type lasers. The research scientist in charge of the project was Dr. Edward Teller (cynically referred to by some as “Dr. Strangelove” since the character in the Kubrick film was apparently based on him.)
In the early 1980s, the Department of Defense and other alphabet soup agencies discovered that credulous UFO researchers made perfect disinfo targets to keep cold war enemy spies in check and off balance. As the usefulness of some people (like Paul Bennewitz) began to wane, and others (John Lear, Bill Cooper) took up the cause of revealing the “alien threat,” their “insider” contacts began to tell them about a project to create a bomb that could penetrate a few hundred feet of solid ground. The reason for this, they whispered, was to destroy the alien base underneath the Archuleta Mesa near Dulce, New Mexico. They told UFO researchers that the project was called “Excalibur.”

Coincidentally, Teller’s project was also code-named “Excalibur.” The reason for revealing the secret name of the project was that U.S. intelligence knew that Soviet spies had heard about it–they just weren’t quite sure yet what it was. If the name was leaked to UFO researchers, they could see who came calling on these individuals for more information. Some of them were not wide-eyed UFO buffs, and that is what the intelligence community was after.
As for the underground base in northern New Mexico, no one has ever proved that it exists. However, in light of recent revelations from a credible researcher who claims to have personally seen incriminating evidence that there may have indeed been something there, I might have to open my mind a bit to this possibility. The facility may have had something to do with the numerous animal mutilations and strange lights that appeared in the area in the 1970s and ’80s. The strangeness that was assigned to an evil alien race may have been much closer to home, with organizations that would much rather that the public laughed at stories of UFOs.

Heres a “secret” underground base in New Mexico that appears on the Federal register and even has a Wikipedia article.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trementina_Base
In 1992 the church of Spiritual Technology traded a large “vault” within the base to the U.S. Government. For reasons unknown. The Church of Spiritual Technology is a front organization that holds and maintains the copyrights on L Ron Hubbards writing. Now I find it interesting that another posting on this site mentioned a “work” performed by Alistar Crowley and L Ron Hubbard to summon the Whore of Babylon.
God only knows what nefarious things go on down there. Perhaps it is a secret lab that works 24/7 to make Tom Cruise look taller on film.
So even if the origional base refered to in Greg’s posting never existed fact seems to have followed fiction.

Ha ha ha!!! Now I’ve gotten everybody using the word “nefarious” in postings!!
I Love it!!!! Oh, and go back to the “Witness to Roswell” posting from Nick of several days and ago and scroll down to the “comments” section. I have added one such comment that almost takes the form of a book review. This is one Baaaaaaad (as in Goooooood) new book…even if it does kinda cut Nick’s Horten-Fugo with little Japanese guys in it off at the knees.
The “Do not open a read until I am dead” document by the late Walter Haut is a stunner.

Greg,
So … I’m curious if your source is Gabe Valdez. As I mentioned in a previous thread, he asserted flatly that the cattle mutes originated from a human agency but he also asserted that there was an underground base.
Curiouser and curiouser.

Miles,
Can’t say ’til I’m done. It’s a pretty weird story, if true. Actually, even if it’s not!
