With the sun continuously loosing mass there would have been a time in the past, when mars was closer to the sun and the sun was also brighter - and at the time, life on mars would have been more possible than life is possible on Earth.

Great screen name! Reminds me of a guy I know here in L.A. who had a band called "L. Ron Hitler." The rondroids threatened legal action and he had to change it.

L. Ron...

Yeah, I forgot. Ah-nold's already been there and through all those caves in "Total Recall". Found a bunch of oxygenation machines as well. Tough job that was, too. Not a chore for girly men.

 How soon we forget.

In addition to the structural anomalies (or possible anomalies) on Mars, what are the groups' thoughts on those apparent microbes found in the meteorite in the Antarctic? The group that performed the original workup still maintains their conclusions are solid, though there are others who say they don't think the forms are organic at all.

Probes are all well and good but until you have boots on the ground, you really can't say what is there and what isn't.

Frankly I doubt there is any life worth mentioning on Mars now and we should already be thinking "terraform" but Martian archeology. . . theres an interesting thought.

I think somebody needs to go there and SEE what gives. But it can't be NASA because that'd be like asking the Mafia to sit on a grand jury trying to determine of there IS a Mafia. Maybe the Russkies?

All U Sundry,

I'd be curious to hear what folks think of the Cydonia "Face on Mars". Most of us have seen the original two or three shots that first caught attention. And most of us have seen the shots taken on the next probe's fly-overs. What's the feeling out there? Do these support the "light and shadows" claim of NASA, or do they represent photo tampering to downplay something more "manufactured" in nature, or something else, or do the photos just not give us enough detail to draw any firm conclusions.

How 'bout it, ladies and gentlemen, anyone want to ring in with a definitive opinion?
