Frankly I doubt there is any life worth mentioning on Mars now and we should already be thinking "terraform" but Martian archeology. . . theres an interesting thought. Most of us have seen the original two or three shots that first caught attention. And most of us have seen the shots taken on the next probe's fly-overs. What's the feeling out there? Do these support the "light and shadows" claim of NASA, or do they represent photo tampering to downplay something more "manufactured" in nature, or something else, or do the photos just not give us enough detail to draw any firm conclusions.
