Greg, to me, the 'UFO', right from the off, looks like a 'pencil' torch, or the like, being moved in the manner some kids like to play with the fireworks we in the UK call 'sparklers', i.e., in big 'S' and figure '8' shapes.

It does NOT look anything like its 'motion' is being derived from the cam operator's attempts to keep it in focus.

Then, clinching it - for me, at least - it's a fake, the 'ufo' is suddenly found to have 'descended' to a position where a 'conveniently' placed wall, (in the middle of an area that'll later suddenly become full of tree and bushes), can now be used as a point of visual reference to 'show', not only is it no longer haphazardly 'falling' but it can now suddenly 'hang' in mid-air, and maybe even exhibit 'amazing' ufo-like horizontal manoeuvering 'capabilities'.

I agree completely. In fact, these types of videos do more to harm than good. They have no scientific value and only serve to reinforce the myth that those interested in studying the UFO phenomena are completely uncritical in their acceptance of so called "evidence".

I just read an article entitled "Fuzzy films on Web hurt our Cause" which addresses this exact issue. Here is a link if you're interested:

Guys,

I am rarely one to discount a paranormal expirience but the problems with videos like this are numerous.

1. easy to replicate
2. rarely do we get a stable image
3. if a digital camcorder was used its easy to alter the image and even playing with the focus during filming can create changes in the appearance of a star or aircraft.
4. Nothing proves that the movement of the object wasn't actually the movement of the camera as the cameraman changes positions.
5. There are too many lighting, enivronmental and technical variables to prove it one way or another.

So we end up with footage that could or could not be something.

I know, you all know this and it's cool anyway.
