It all kicks off in only a few days from now, but there’s still just about enough time to make arrangements to go along and see what it’s all about. What am I talking about? The annual, weekend-long UFO gig at Aztec, New Mexico. In the same way that the town of Roswell has capitalized on the events of July 1947, so Aztec has done likewise with the alleged UFO crash outside of town in March 1948.

I spoke at the Aztec conference a few years ago and a good time was had by all. It was also the first time I got to meet the late UFO researcher and author Karl Pflock. The man was hardly a proponent of the Aztec crash; but he was fascinated by the legends and tales of the little men and their strange craft that were said to have plummeted to earth on that fateful day nearly 60 years ago.

Karl and I kept in touch and even planned on writing a book about the case at one point. But sadly, with Karl’s passing in 2006, it was not to be.

But, if you’re free this coming weekend, go along and attend.
