Comet Now Visible In Daylight

I know a lot of people who are into the UFO subject are at least marginally interested in astronomy. In 1997, I went on a camping trip to Sedona with a few friends specifically to watch Hale-Bopp. We were not disappointed. Now I find, just a little bit too late, that perhaps the brightest comet of the past 30 years has just dipped below the horizon in the Northern hemisphere. It was discovered in August of 2006 by Australian astronomer Robert McNaught.
But fear not. The spaceweather.com site says that McNaught is so bright that it can be seen in full daylight:
Comet McNaught is now visible in broad daylight. “It’s fantastic,” reports Wayne Winch of Bishop, California. “I put the sun behind a neighbor’s house to block the glare and the comet popped right into view. You can even see the tail.” This trick is best performed around local noon: Go outside and stand in the shadow of a building. Face south. The comet lies about six degrees to the left of the sun.
Go outside today and try it. I will, and if I get a good picture, I’ll post it.

OK I saw it (just barely) today in Santa Barbara, but too small to take a decent picture & I can’t hook up a camera to my 5 inch reflector. Anyone else?
