Bill,

Thanks for reading and commenting. Your last paragraph would basically be my answer to you. The cadecus or the DNA? I don't know. Perhaps the message was buried in the collective unconscious somewhere and ancient Egyptians/Klint/Crick and Watson were tuning into it in their own ways.

Greg,

The "alien genes in human DNA' story has been circulating for a while including the Sam Chang connection, both equally unconfirmable - hardly surprising.

I was somewhat underwhelmed by Paul Davies "alien message" in "junk DNA", and when I had the opportunity to speak with him in Sydney I asked if he was serious. He thought it was worth trying, more credible than SETI? Scroll down my June 2005 blog archive for the June 5 message: "Hair of the Alien - the DNA paradigm":

I think unusual mutations, polymorphisms, our "junk" DNA (or perhaps more appropriately "regulatory" DNA) and other aspects are more credible as possible aspects to look for. The background re CCR5 deletion factor gives food for thought. See my July 2005 blog archive, the July 5 message re this fascinating genetic factor.

Also with regard to Hilma Af Klint's circa 1910 painting "What A Human Being Is" given her Theosophy background it seems more relevant to invoke kudalini yogic concepts of "serpent power" - Shushmana as the spinal column, with Ida and Pingala as the double helical intertwined serpents - before invoking correspondes with the DNA double helix. After all there are no base pair linkages, other than perhaps a suggestive one in the upper portion of the painting. Still beyond the Hindu yogic connection, we have the Rod of Asclepius, but this is only one spiral. And again we have the caduceus (or magic wand) of Mercury, which features 2 intertwined serpents, but it also features a pair of wings.

So it is apparent there would be plenty of fodder for Af Kint's imagination or her "higher sources" via channeling for the imagery in her painting, before invoking a prophetic vision of the structure of DNA.

Still there is much food for thought here in terms of the "chicken & egg" question, or should I say the "serpent" & "double helix" & "base pair" question, wonderful re-envisioned in Jeremy Narby's "The Cosmic Serpent - DNA and the Origins of Knowledge".
regards,
Bill Chalker

Hey Dingo,

These "things" have always been attracted to sexuality. Think of the Bigfoot and other beasties reports from lovers' lanes. I think this works both ways though--perhaps the sex thing opens some sort of channel. Occultists have always used this principle.

When people say "we are being prepared for something," it seems like we have been prepped over and over for many years, at least since the '50s. Perhaps this is the latest in a long-term "plan." Whose plan, I do not know.

interesting, panspermia meets contacteeism. I'm not surprised. There is a common thread within the UFO lore whether contactee, abduction victim, true believer or ancient texts that points towards genetic manipulation by the UFO occupants. These things seem fascinated with our reproduction and children.

Raechel's Eyes by Helen Littrell and Jean Bilodeaux goes into a strange recounting of a young woman who claims to be one of these hybrids. (reliability suspect)

When studying the paranormal we ignore our mythology at our own peril. I am again reminded of the Genesis chapter six account and the book of Enoch. Angels descending and intermarrying with human daughters. Then who can forget the greek legends of half man half god warriors? I have heard rumours of of people who believe themeselves to be hybrids and forming communities. (Haven't been able to prove it yet) So there is some more junk science saying that aliens have encoded messages into our DNA.

Am I the only one who feels like we are being preppared for something here? When does Rod Sterling step out from behind a lamp post and end our episode of the twilight zone?
